NWIBRT is proud to be partnering with the Builders Association for the annual Safety Stand Down. This has certainly become a “Rite of Spring,” which enables companies the opportunity to demonstrate leadership and the critical importance placed on employees’ safety. Your commitment to the Stand Down coupled with ongoing safety efforts throughout the year shows your dedication to providing accident-free and injury-free job sites for your employees.
We are asking for your company’s participation in the Safety Stand Down during the week of May 8-12. This year’s topic will cover struck-by and caught-between hazards, which are the leading cause of fatalities in OSHA Region V and relate to every job site.
Involvement is simple. Job sites cease work for approximately 30 minutes on the day of your choice during that week as you “stand down” with your employees to engage in a focused safety training session. We will provide easy-to-implement curriculum materials on the aforementioned topic. You may choose to stand down during the mid-morning coffee break or as part of lunch. Hard hat stickers will be distributed to all participating personnel.
Please register your company’s “point person” for this year’s Stand Down through this link or pass along to your safety director to complete. If you have any questions please call the Builder Association at (773) 444-0465.
