Last night, November 8th, nearly 100 people gathered at the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor office for a Meet & Mingle networking event hosted by NWIBRT. The free event provided members the opportunity to meet Port Director Ian Hirt as well as individuals from other companies operating out of the Burns Harbor facility.
Attendees also had the chance to take a bus tour of the nearly 600 acres that make up the port to learn about the facility and the 30 businesses that operate within it. During the tour, Hirt provided an overview of day-to-day operations around the port while also presenting a brief history of the facility and its plans for the future.
This gathering was the first in a new series of Meet & Mingle networking events organized by NWIBRT. The goal of these events is to allow NWIBRT members the opportunity to meet with prominent personnel from various NWIBRT companies. If your business is interested in hosting a Meet & Mingle event, please contact Carl at info@nwibrt.org.
