Metro Recyclers Receives Environmental Award
Metro Auto Recyclers was awarded its fifth Clean Yard Gold Level from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM).
This achievement has been awarded to Metro Auto Recyclers for their diligence in protecting the environment and their community, and by passing a rigorous multipoint inspection. Currently, the company is one of only eight auto recycling facilities out of approximately four hundred in the state of Indiana to have received such high honors.
Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) mission is to implement federal and state regulations to protect human health and the environment while allowing the environmentally sound operations of industrial, agricultural, commercial and government activities vital to a prosperous economy.
CEO Neil Samahon commented, “Metro Recycling and Metro Auto Recyclers will always strive to operate in a manner which exceeds typical expectations as we try not necessarily to be examples but strive to operate at a level where we feel a responsible business should. It is our desire to have a positive effect on our environment and in the communities we operate.”
This certification was accepted by Operations Manager John Leegwater and Metro Auto Recyclers team.
